Minister Of Transport, Sen. Said Ahmed Alkali Resigns

In adherence to ​the presidential directive requiring all political appointees seeking elective offices to step down from their current roles, the Minister of Transportation, Senator Said  Said Ahmed Alkali has officially tendered hiss resignation to the Presidency. 

​The Minister who resigned to contest for the governorship of Gombe State in the upcoming elections. In his letter, expressed deep appreciation to the President for the opportunity to serve, citing significant progress made in the transportation sector during his tenure.

​The President has accepted the resignation and thanked the Minister for his dedicated service to the nation.

In continuation of her decade-long Ramadan and Lent tradition, Dr. Betta Edu over the weekend broke fast with over 1,500 physically challenged men, women, and children of Muslim and Christian faiths in the Karonmajigi community, behind the National Military Cemetery, Abuja. The programme, which began in Bogobiri and Nasarawa Bakoko, Calabar during her tenure as Director General of the Primary Healthcare Development Agency and later as Commissioner for Health in Cross River State, was held this weekend to pray for Nigeria and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Recall that in 2025, Dr. Edu hosted the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, and his entourage for an iftar with Muslim communities in Calabar.  ...seeks partnership on IT services*  The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Galaxy Backbone, Professor Ibrahim Adeyanju, has commended National Youth Service Corps' (NYSC's) contributions to the unity, integration and socio-economic development of the country. He made the commendation, when he paid a courtesy visit to the NYSC National Directorate Headquarters in Abuja.
